24247 rebecca cotte Thursday 7th of Feb 2013 01:00AM Victoria Pending confirmation I completely agree with 0.80 cents per kwh however the Net/Gross metering system should be kept as is. Net meteirng allows users to use their own electricity produced by Solar Power which is free electricity, this encourages the market for people who are thinking more about the environement. If a gross metering was to be introduced again then the incentive would be aimed at making a profit off renewable energy rtaher than usiing it for its sole purpose. We clearly need to help Mother Nature...

24236 Michael McAllister Wednesday 12th of Dec 2012 07:56AM Western Australia Pending confirmation Australia should be leading the way in solar energy use and the Federal Government should be encouraging everyone to install systems capable of providing their own power usage. Burning coal and gas is no longer necessary!

24232 Alan Browett Thursday 29th of Nov 2012 03:17AM New South Wales Pending confirmation If i do not use my solar power (generated by my roof panels)as it is generated per second the excess goes to the power company who pay me 8cents and charge me 34cents over 300per cent profit. At this point I concider myself a bloody fool for helping the greedy sods get richer. Hope the petition has some impact.
24231 Rob Dunlop Tuesday 27th of Nov 2012 12:15AM New South Wales Pending confirmation a nett feed in rate of 8cents is a DISINCENTIVE to Solar Panel take up, when the retail cost to buy from the grid is between 17 - 45 cents (approx). Why consider introducing carbon taxes before encouraging national residential solar power schemes? It doesn't make sense

24229 jarrod walker Friday 23rd of Nov 2012 10:14AM South Australia Pending confirmation soumds like a plan, not at all happy with current. Spent $18000 on solar panels and recently received a $1200 electricity bill. Not f***ing happy!
24228 sharon smith Sunday 11th of Nov 2012 10:40PM New South Wales Pending confirmation 5 months ago I installed a 3KW solar system at a cost of a few thousand dollars. I have just learnt that all the excess electricty that I am producing (approx 10 to 15 KW/h per day) has no value to me. I am receiving no credits for it. How can this be right. I am sending this excess electricity to the grid that is being sold on, but I receive nothing, and it has cost me!!!!

24224 Leslie Ion Tuesday 6th of Nov 2012 12:03AM New South Wales Pending confirmation Feed in tariff arrangements would appear to have gone from the sublime to the ridiculous as a means of encouraging hosueholds to install solar panels. Given that climate change is supposedly the greatest moral challenge of our times surely the Government should take action to provide more equitable arrangements across all states.
