I fail to understand given teh current economic conditions and the importance of environmental concerns why the current government wants people to wait until 1 July for access to solar subsidies unless they have a last year's family income of under $100,000. Immediate access would see me invest in solar hot water and power. |

Come on - make real incentives to all (private and businesses) to make our society greener, operate in a more 'renewable' mode and help save mother earth that is crying out for help. |

The only way that we can make any significant progress in the uptake and development of renewable energy system in Australia is through National focus and encouragement. The States cannot achieve real progress on their own and we are already behind other nations such as Britain and Germany in implementing renewable systems, despite being eminently well placed to do so. I would encourage the Minister and Mr Rudd to make a public commitment towards real support for the renewable industry. A National feedin tarrif is but one way to start this. |
